1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix⅓ cup brown sugar1 tablespoon all-purpose flour1 tablespoon butter, melted2 tablespoons light corn syrup1 egg1 tablespoon water½ teaspoon vanilla extract½ cup semisweet chocolate chips½ cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan.In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, brown sugar and flour. Add the melted butter, corn syrup, egg, water and vanilla; mix until well blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Cool, and cut into bars.
