Ingredients

2 tablespoons vegetable oil1 onion, diced2 carrots, sliced2 stalks celery with leaves, chopped1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced2 quarts chicken broth1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes1 clove garlic, crushed1 pound dry lentils, rinsed2 bay leavessalt and pepper to taste
Directions

Heat oil in a large stockpot over medium heat. Stir in the onion, carrots, and celery; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add kielbasa, chicken broth, tomatoes, garlic, lentils, and bay leaves and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
