1 cup shortening1 cup white sugar1 cup brown sugar2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda½ teaspoon salt2 cups crushed potato chips1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).In a large bowl, cream together the shortening, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, fold in the potato chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an unprepared cookie sheet.Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
