1 ½ cups white sugar1 teaspoon cream of tartar2 cups water21 buttery round crackers1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell1 teaspoon ground cinnamon2 tablespoons butter
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).In a medium saucepan, mix together sugar, cream of tartar, and water. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Drop in buttery round crackers, boil 2 minutes longer.Pour cracker mixture into pie shell. Sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter.Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
