1 cup butter1 cup white sugarΒ½ cup light brown sugar2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 ΒΌ cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon salt2 cups semisweet chocolate chips2 cups flaked coconut
Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and coconut. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
