1 ¾ cups quick cooking oats1 ½ cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon ground cinnamon½ teaspoon ground nutmeg½ cup butter, softened1 cup packed brown sugar½ cup white sugar1 egg¾ cup applesauce1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips1 cup raisins1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. In a medium bowl, stir together the quick oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, set aside.In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and applesauce. Stir the oatmeal mixture into the batter until well blended then fold in the chocolate chips, raisins and walnuts. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
