1 cup butter1 cup white sugar½ teaspoon baking soda½ teaspoon baking powder1 ½ cups all-purpose flour½ cup chopped walnuts1 cup crisp rice cereal1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions

Cream margarine and sugar together. Without sifting add remaining ingredients and mix well.Chill dough for 1/2 hour.Shape into balls and press firmly with a fork. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 10 to 15 minutes at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
